Hospital Rules

Pursuant to G.S. 150B-21.3A, Periodic Review and Expiration of Existing Rules, all rules are reviewed at least every 10 years, or they shall expire. As a result of the periodic review of Subchapter 10A NCAC 13B, Licensing of Hospitals, these 13 proposed readoption rules were part of the 40 rules determined as “Necessary With Substantive Public Interest,” requiring readoption. With input from stakeholders, eight rules are proposed for readoption with substantive changes to update standard of practice, clarify language, address Rules Review Commission objections, and reference General Statutes. Five rules are proposed for readoption without substantial changes to address technical changes in the rules.
