August 2024:

Credentia test sites will transition from Conductor to the Credentia Platform on October 1, 2024. Technical specifications apply.

July 31, 2024:

The new Nurse Aide I curriculum is available. Training programs are required to implement the new curriculum by February 1, 2025. Click here to review the memorandum from DHSR.

February 26, 2024:

Beginning April 1, 2024, the National Council of State Boards of Nursing and Credentia are making changes to the skills component of the Nurse Aide State-Approved Competency Exam. Modifications implemented during COVID-19 are being removed. To learn more, please review Credentia’s website and how to complete each skill in the Nurse Aide Candidate Handbook. 

September 2023:

All Candidate Handbooks are going digital beginning January 1, 2024. The last day to order paper handbooks is December 31, 2023.

Feeding Assistant

A Feeding Assistant is a single-task worker used to feed residents in nursing homes. Nursing homes may only use paid Feeding Assistants after they pass state-approved training.
